Identity in Christ: A 40 Day JourneySample
Part 2: Foundational Truths
Day 20: I have been saved by grace
If we believe that our salvation – our position as a child of God – is conditional on our works and performance, then we do not believe in grace! Grace is 'God’s Righteousness at Christ’s Expense': God has washed us whiter than snow not because of our good deeds or lack of sin but because we believe in Jesus Christ and His gospel. We are saved through faith in Him alone, not by any of our works.
Let's Pray
Thank You, God, that I have received my salvation through the faith that was a gift from You. I have not been saved because of anything I have done. Your grace, Your unmerited favour, has brought me into Your Kingdom. I cannot boast that I have made this happen. It’s all because of You. I am sorry for the times I have believed that I had to work for my salvation and for the times I have not lived in the gift of the faith You have given me. I choose today to believe that Your incredible grace saves me. Please help me to renew my mind and understand this truth better. Amen.

About this Plan
Knowing our identity in Christ - knowing who He says we are to Him - is one of the most powerful ways to enable ourselves to draw closer to God. Knowing our true identity is part of our roadmap to sanctification. We realise how free we truly are and how much He wants to lavish His love on us and fill our lives with purpose and meaning.
