Spirit, Soul & Body Part 3Sample
Reflection
When visiting family or a friend at their home, there are some things you would only do after asking permission. Do you agree? Things like:
- Taking off your shoes
- Helping yourself to a glass of water or a hot drink from their kitchen
- Using the bathroom
- Plugging in and charging your mobile phone
- Washing your hands
What are the courtesies and permissions you would have on your list?
Introspection
In the Kingdom of God - in the reign of Jesus the King - we don’t need permission to approach the Father or make requests and ask for His assistance. Jesus satisfied the order of heaven by going ahead of us, for us, and subsequently communicated with complete confidence that we should approach God freely.
Through Jesus, we have access to his aid in time of need. We have access to renewal in the Spirit who sealed our sonship. We know oneness with God and the means to live in this way always. We become more and more established in our faith due to his faith. This is a healthy entitlement - not as a spoilt brat who wants their way at every turn but as an heir of an inheritance who desires, and openhandedly receives God’s ways. Our Father desires that in Spirit, Soul, and Body, we live from innocence and in his inheritance!
Application
Think about the power of God communicated with us in the message we have received.
If you had the opportunity to spark faith in somebody today, what would you do?
Take a portion of scripture - even one of those from today's devotion - and put it/rearrange it to communicate that same truth to the same extent but with your words.
Faith comes by…….?
Hearing faith comes by…….?
