There is great power in stories! Stories are not just for little children at bedtime, they’re not just for entertainment in the movies, nor are they just for the older generation to share with their families. The stories of God have great power! The stories of God can help us live fully today. The stories of God can give us strength and faith for tomorrow. God’s children need to be the ones who remember the stories and tell them to each other. Never forget! This is what Psalm 114 is all about. Each line is referencing a story when God changed the course of history! The book of Exodus tells some of the most amazing tales of the God of the universe making a way for His people. Some of the greatest moments of our story are told there: When God split the Red Sea so that His people walked through on dry ground, when He brought water out of a rock, when He split the Jordan River… Amazing!!

GO DEEP: As you read through Psalm 114, count how many stories of the great works of our God are being referenced.
Vs 7-8: Is there anything you have been praying about or challenges you are facing? Make these verses the starting point of your prayer. The God who can bring water from rock and make the earth tremble is listening to us! What stories of God do you have from your life?
