Lord, it’s so easy to just give up on the people around me, but I know that’s not what you really want. You didn’t give up on me, so help me not to give up others. Change my heart and help me to love them as you love them. Right now, it’s hard for me to love _________ (person’s name). First, Lord, help me to see them the way that you do – as your precious child. Show me what you love about them. Show me how you created them. Show me how they’re growing. Lord, help me to be more sympathetic towards them and increase my compassion. Open my eyes to see what I am missing and teach me to love beyond the surface. Thank you, Lord. Amen.
