Never Give Up (High School)Sample
This verse teaches us that God will respond when we call, but our role is to recognize our need for him and to be the one to call out to him instead of trying to handle things on our own.
Scripture can be used to encourage a friend, challenge them, or pray over them. Having memorized scripture means you can share a verse whenever a need comes up in a conversation or prayer. Psalm 119:11 says, “I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.” Memorizing scripture changes our heart and helps us when we are tempted to sin.
- Write the verse down on a dry erase board or use the notes app on your phone and slowly take away one or two words at a time until you have the whole verse memorized.
- Sing the verse to the tune of a familiar song – try a nursery rhyme like Twinkle Twinkle Little Star or the chorus of your favorite song.
