Praying the Scripture Through LentSample

Praying the Scripture Through Lent

DAY 35 OF 40

The World

Hope doesn’t die when Jesus is in the picture. The light of the world is here to shine His brilliance into the darkest parts of our world. Nothing and no one is too far gone for Him. He pursues the lost and draws them to Him. His heart longs for all to be saved and brought into His eternal kingdom.

Use these verses to worship and adore Him for who He is, what He’s done, and ask Him to help you live a life that pleases Him and brings Him glory. Read the scriptures as prayers of worship, thanksgiving, and supplication, believing that there is power in every declaration.

John 8:12 NLT
Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”
1 John 4:4 NLT
But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.
Matthew 5:14-16 NLT
““You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.”
