Love is such an overused word. We use it to describe our feelings about various things- from our grandparents to a hilarious video. After a while, love seems to lose its meaning because of how much we say it, which is true for God's love for us. Take a minute and think about it- God's love for you is so much better, deeper, and different than anyone else. Love is a core part of who he is. Think about the person who knows you the most or the person you love more than anyone else. God's love for you and his knowledge of you is even greater than that feeling you have for another person. The next time you read about how much God loves you, try to take it seriously. He loved you enough to send Jesus to earth; that is true love.
Challenge: Respond to God's love by loving him back. Make a list of things you love about God throughout the day, and tell him why you love him!
