The Aetherlight Episode 2 Family Plan

DAY 1 OF 15

He'd Use Who?!

The next 5 studies refer to the quests ‘To the Beach,’ 'Team Edmund,' and 'Julian Ships Out' in The Aetherlight: Chronicles of the Resistance Episode 2.

Start your Aethasian adventure at The Aetherlight!

We all mess up. Sometimes we can even do so with impeccable planning and forethought. What hope is there for recovering from deliberate, even pre-meditated sin? Can God do anything with the kind of mess that creates?

Something to think about while you are reading today’s passage:

Jacob is not shown in a great light here - describing him as 'flawed' would probably be generous. However, despite everything that goes on in this passage, he is still blessed. How do you feel about that? On the evidence of this passage, is Jacob any better or worse than Esau? What does this say about who God chooses to work through?

Something to talk about with players of The Aetherlight:

In Aethasia, Julian makes some pretty bad calls - stealing, lying, and manipulating those around him to try to get an advantage over his brother Edmund. How did they feel when Julian involved them in his trickery? What did they expect to happen as a result? It's a good place to start a conversation around redemption and whether anyone is a 'lost cause' to God.

Day 2

About this Plan

The Aetherlight Episode 2 Family Plan

The Aetherlight: Chronicles of the Resistance is an exciting new steampunk game with a difference - It's an allegory of God’s amazing story in Scripture! Episode 2 continues the story of the fledgling Resistance, and the call to restore Aethasia under the guidance of the Scarlet Man. These studies help players who have joined the Resistance tie the game and the Bible together so they can grow in their part in God's story.
