Isn’t Christmastime the absolute best? Celebrating our Savior’s birthday, nostalgic memories of Christmases past, making new treasured memories with Jesus and those we love best — all of these make Christmas the most wonderful time of the year!

Christmas reveals what’s most important: Jesus, loved ones, making a difference, generosity, kindness, love, and making memories. During this special time, we see what an extravagant gift Christmas truly is. 

Christmas is God's gift to us. The Bible shares every good gift is from God – and what a delight to unwrap the precious gifts of the season and fully experience the greatest Gift: Jesus Christ. 

As we love and experience Jesus, and share His love like never before, we discover the true Treasure of Christmas. 

We have the wonderful opportunity to make this Christmas season with Jesus truly special – memories to last a lifetime. Let's go all out as we delight in Jesus, deepen our friendship with Him, and allow Him to guide us in loving our family, friends, and neighbors. 

When you think about the miracle and treasure of Christmas – the fact that God cared enough to make a way to be with us – what a privilege to create a treasured Christmas season in His honor.

Each day, I will be sharing Christmas ideas to help us discover the true Treasure of Christmas.

Today’s Christmas idea is:

Buy a notebook (or make a Note in your smartphone). You'll be adding special Christmas ideas each day. Also, be thinking about your most treasured Christmas traditions with Jesus. Ask for family input, jot down all ideas, and create a Wish List of all you would like to do to create the most treasured Christmas season with Jesus ever. You can continually add ideas to your list as the Christmas season unfolds.

Christmastime is a wonderful time to not only experience the love of Jesus. It is also a wonderful time to witness to others and share Christ’s love. There are so many opportunities to show hospitality and love during the holidays. Talk to Jesus about ideas of how to best love others and truly serve those He places in your life. Let's really get into showing Christ's love this season!

Let’s purpose to make this Christmas season the best one yet with Jesus, our loved ones, church, and community. May we truly experience the true Treasure of Christmas like never before as we fully celebrate His birthday!
