A Pleasing Living Sacrifice
Romans 12:1
Since God has shown us great mercy, I beg you to offer your lives as a living sacrifice to Him.
“Lord I offer my life to You
Everything I've been through
Use it for Your glory
Lord I offer my days to You
Lifting my praise to You
As a pleasing sacrifice”
This song might be very familiar to many of us. It tells about offering our lives to be used by God as a pleasing sacrifice that glorifies His name.
It means, in the way we talk and act, how we treat our bodies, how we treat other people, the way we dress ourselves, what we watch, what we read and in whatever we do, we’ll make sure to strive to bring glory to God. It also means we give up our sinful ways of life or bad habits. It is about living a life of worship for God.
With help from the Holy Spirit, we will be able to transform our lives by the renewing of our minds along with living according to God’s will.
Prayer
Dear God, I want my life to be a pleasing living sacrifice to You. Amen.
