How to Live an Epic LifeSample

Romans 8:38-39 gives us a whole list of possible opponents:  

• Death 


• Life 


• Angels 


• Principalities (government) 


• Powers 


• Things present 


• Things to come (the future) 


• Height 


• Depth 


• Any other creature

In all these different dynamics of life, and all the different levels and situations, there is nothing that can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. This is the promise to those who have received Jesus Christ by faith. Nothing can break that bond. Why? 

The Bible says when you trust in Jesus Christ as your Savior, you are in Christ, and He cannot deny Himself. There is nothing stronger than God. You are in Christ, and He is in you by the Spirit of God. You are sealed until the day of redemption. You have eternal life, and nothing can separate you from that love. Isn’t that amazing? 

When you are secure in Christ, you can serve without fear. You might think, “Well, if I cannot lose my salvation, what is there to keep me on the straight and narrow path? What place do works have in the Christian life?”

Eternal security does not diminish our work for God. The security we have with the Lord enhances our desire to serve Him because no longer are we in fear of hell. Our works do not save us, nor do they keep us saved, but they show our salvation. When you rejoice in the fact you are saved, you will want to start living the way God wants you to live. 

Have you struggled with doubts about your salvation? It is a gift from God – something you cannot earn, and you cannot lose. Take some time to read through today’s Scripture passages and thank God for the fact nothing can separate you from His love.
