Of Whom I Am the WorstSample
Change
Since we recognized that we're sinners and abandoned our wrongdoing, we now go to the third and final step: change.
We could define change as the replacement of one action by another. Let's take the example of the child we mentioned yesterday: His mother again dresses him in a white T-shirt because they are going out for a walk later. Last time he got his clothes dirty for not obeying and he was punished. This time he decides to stay in his room and take out the toys to play with his little brother.
What happened here? The very intelligent boy replaced an action that could bring him bad consequences with one that was safer and just as fun. He chose to stay clean and please his mama.
Change is not easy. Imagine the desire the little boy had to go out and play. Instead, he made a wise and beneficial decision for him. Many times it'll be difficult for us to abandon a way of thinking or doing things and leave behind something to which we have become accustomed. But good doesn't mean easy.
Change is the only constant thing. Change is good, even though we are so afraid of it. In addition, we won't be alone in that transformation process. God will be there to strengthen and bless us. He's our greatest supporter. That's why he gives us the opportunity and desire to turn toward him today and every day.
In conclusion, the mentality that Paul had, a man who allowed God to change his heart and life, we can adopt with these three simple steps:
1. Recognizing that we are sinners—that we have our own struggles, and that we're not better than anyone else. What's more, we need to know we can be the first to fail.
2. Asking God for forgiveness and abandoning our own ways.
3. By replacing our desires with those of our Father and turning our hearts toward him.
Christ came into the world to save sinners of whom I'm the worst but may I also be the first to accept his salvation.

Thank you for reading this plan. I hope you can put these steps into practice and grow as a Christian. The main purpose of these devotionals is to understand that Jesus is the only perfect one and we must look up to him.

About this Plan
It's very easy to point out and notice the faults of others, but reviewing ourselves takes so much work. When we live comparing our way of sinning to others, we may think that we aren't so guilty. Paul understood it very well when he said, "Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst." How can I adopt this same thinking? Let's find out!
