Walking With Jesus (Salvation) Sample
LIVING IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD
“Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the Kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.”
Mat. 7:21
We live by certain values. People will live by the values they believe to be true. Worldly people will live with worldly values which they receive from their parents, school, life experiences, and others. The believers or the citizens of the Kingdom of God live by the values of the Kingdom of God. They live in justice, peace, truth, honesty, and so on. If we are still living with other values, it means we are still living outside the Kingdom of God even if we have been Christians for decades.
We may deny it, but let’s think about it, "What values have dominate my life?" Are we trying to look good to be liked by many? Are we trying to win regardless of others? Do we love taking advantage of anyone with whom we come into contact by giving pressure to our subordinates, currying favor with our superiors, and so on? Or are we brave, sincere, and honest even though we are harassed and blamed by other people because of our attitude?
Our life is not a game. We have to be serious about our salvation. Salvation contains life's consequences that commensurate with salvation. If we are serious about our salvation, we will be serious about our Christianity and our values. Christianity shines through the way we do God's will and treat others in our daily lives.
Remember that the most important thing in preaching the Gospel of Jesus is, "The time has come. The Kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!" (Mrk. 1:15). You might say that you have believed 100%. However, what about repenting? Has your life changed? Are you already living in the values of the Kingdom of God? Remember, don't look for the Kingdom of God anywhere! The Kingdom is within us. Let's check if we can find the Kingdom of God there.
Reflection
1. What values have you applied in your life so far? Are the values of the Kingdom of God still applicable in this world?
2. What is the difficulty of living by the values of the Kingdom of God in this world?
Application:
Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you. Matthew 6:33

About this Plan
Salvation is at the heart of the entire Bible. What should we do, as believers who have received salvation, so that other people can receive the same salvation? Through this "Walking with Jesus" devotional series, we will learn how to grow the fruit of salvation and fulfill our calling as followers of Christ.
