Wake up. Get ready. Eat a Pop-Tart on the way to school. Go from class to class. Football practice. Homework. Repeat. Does this feel like your life right now - a schedule so packed full that it can be difficult to take a breath? A schedule so busy that you feel like you don't have control of your own life? Maybe you are so busy, you forget to spend time with God. Here is how practicing the habit of stillness may help.
Not only is this habit possible, but it is key to having a healthy spiritual life. When our lives feel out of control, we can develop a habit of resting and being still before God. Actually, this may be the best time in our lives to develop this habit. When we practice stillness, we will see the ways we can trust God. Our habits can honor God when we discover their significance in our lives.
What would it look like to be still in your life? How might you encounter God differently by being still?

About this Plan
Over time, even the smallest habits can impact your life. So what are the small things you do every day that either draw you closer to God or keep you at a distance? In this 20-day devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we'll explore these four spiritual habits: spending time with God, spending time with others in community, using our gifts to serve, and sharing our stories of faith.
