What is the best way to make a habit permanent? Some might say patience or accountability, but in reality, it's time. The average time to make something a habit is 66 days. You know, those habits that are automatic like brushing your teeth, packing a lunch, or remembering to do your homework. They are automatic because you've practiced them for almost your whole life.
God knows how important our spiritual habits can be. It's why we are encouraged in the Bible to spend time together in worship, prayer, and Bible study. The more we practice this habit, the closer we'll be with God and other Christians. This can look like going to church, serving your community, or making a group commitment to treat others kindly. Every small step we make toward better spiritual habits adds to a life refreshed by moments spent with God and others.
How can you be more intentional about spending time with other Christians and take time to worship with them?
