Imagine this: a good friend comes up to you and tells you they're an incredible basketball player. They tell you how much they love basketball, how serious they are about it, and how basketball has made such an impact in their life. They tell you that they eat, sleep, and breathe basketball . . . but here's the thing, they have never played basketball before in their life. You might think, "My friend is so fake. I know they don't play basketball. They just like talking about basketball."
Sometimes this can be what it's like while following Jesus. We can talk about how awesome it is to know God, but do our actions match our words? Do our lives reflect a love for God and love for others? The passage that we are looking at today is going to challenge us in how we live. It will challenge us to answer the question: does our relationship with Jesus impact how we live our lives?
How is our faith in God motivating us to do good in the lives of others? How could you develop a habit of living out your faith by impacting others?

About this Plan
Over time, even the smallest habits can impact your life. So what are the small things you do every day that either draw you closer to God or keep you at a distance? In this 20-day devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we'll explore these four spiritual habits: spending time with God, spending time with others in community, using our gifts to serve, and sharing our stories of faith.
