Break TrailSample
Have you ever heard something that completely blew your mind? Literally, your brain is one big "mind blown" emoji! I mean, it really cracked your taco shell, and you're left wondering, "what do I even do with that information?" Just days earlier, the followers of Jesus watched him die a horrible death. They watched him get arrested, put on trial, whipped, beaten up, crucified, and buried. Some of Jesus's disciples went to the tomb to pay their respects. When the women arrived, the large stone securing the entrance to the tomb was gone, Jesus was gone, and the angel told them to come and see for themselves.
Talk about the "mind blown" emoji! What do you even do with that? They take a few steps in, see for themselves Jesus isn't here, and run to tell the other disciples the big news. Once they hear, Peter and John (two of Jesus' closest friends) take off running to where Jesus was buried. They see the empty tomb for themselves. What do they do? Peter and John run and tell more people the news. When you realize Jesus is alive, you want to tell everyone you know.
Who can you tell about Jesus today?

About this Plan
If you're a hiker, you know a trail-breaker is someone who walks ahead, makes a new way, and invites others to follow. That's exactly what Jesus did for us. He broke a new trail with his birth, his life, his teachings, and then with his death and resurrection. In this 30-day devotional series designed for Lent, we’ll see how Jesus showed us a new way of living and knowing God.
