Lord, I come to You today to renew our covenant with regard to my beloved sons. The sons You gave me for my earthly family, but who are Yours . . . eternally. Your sons. Your family.
I relinquished all rights to them . . . gave them to You (Scriptures 1, 2) and, because of Your Word (and You cannot lie (3), I believe that You took what I lifted up to You. I am confident (4,8) that they are now in Your keeping (9,10).
How frightening it would be to think that You could not protect them. How insecure I would be if I doubted Your integrity, Your ability, Your loving care. How fearful if I never knew when the Deceiver was going to lure them out of Your grasp (i.e., Your back was turned and You didn't see him sneaking up). I can't imagine Your saying to me, very apologetically, "I just couldn't handle it, Anabel. I am so sorry."
You know each of them much better than I know them. Your love for them is much greater than my love for them. To whom could I give them who would take better care of them? You are God, and all that "God" means (11).
Believing this with all of my heart (12), I therefore make this statement: Anything (13) that comes into the lives of Pres, Will, and Wade must first come through God and through Jesus to get to them (14). They may not allow Jesus in them to take care of the situation, but God knew (10) before the foundation of the earth how they were going to handle it, and He is prepared to deal with them (15).
Thank You. I love You.

About this Plan
Has your faith become more of a burden than a source of joy and rest? The Christian life is not difficult to live. It's impossible to live! God never intended for you to live it. Jesus Christ is the only one who who has ever successfully lived the Christian life, and His plan is to live it through you. We expend so much energy spinning our wheels, trying to live for God instead of allowing the Holy Spirit to live through us. In this deeply personal, encouraging devotional plan, Anabel Gillham comes alongside you to teach you how to allow Christ to express His overcoming life through you on a moment-by-moment basis. It will remind you of who you are in Christ. It will open the floodgates of God's grace, guiding you to experience true rest and freedom in the midst of the storms of life.
