Through the Bible: JobSample
God Will Never Desert Us
Behold, God will not reject a blameless man,
nor take the hand of evildoers.
He will yet fill your mouth with laughter,
and your lips with shouting.
Those who hate you will be clothed with shame,
and the tent of the wicked will be no more.
Job 8: 20 - 22, (ESV)
Like Eliphaz, Bildad mistakenly assumes that Job is not pure and that one’s prosperity is linked to his righteous behavior. But the book of Job teaches us one important message that this is not always the case. However, one thing is certain. No matter what difficult situation there is in life, God will not reject anyone who is in Christ Jesus. Our Almighty God will never desert us even when we are weak and have a moment of doubt because we are His sons and daughters.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your everlasting love. May You and Your Spirit be always with us no matter what difficult situation we are in. May we lift all our burdens to You, and You will take away our worries and fear. We pray these in Your Mighty Name, Amen!
About this Plan
Job demands a confrontation with God to know why He allows suffering, but finds himself only to receive condemnation from his three friends who conclude that suffering is the result of sins. Elihu rebukes them all by stressing the value in suffering instead. Finally, God speaks and assures His sovereignty amidst man’s suffering. Though the question “why” remains unanswered, Job’s repentance and restoration signify that victory over suffering will come.
