I Have QuestionsSample
Have you ever done something good, but someone else got the credit? Or have you ever done something bad, and someone else took the blame? Or maybe you have been a part of a group project, and someone didn't pull their weight, and left everyone else trying to carry it! Jesus carried all the pain, hurt, suffering, and wrongdoing of the whole world, not just on his back but on his entire body. Beaten, pierced, tortured, embarrassed. He was alone in that burden.
Why did God allow Jesus to go through all of that pain? Why did it have to be that way? Jesus was rebelling against a religious system of injustice. He was living to spread a brand new message about God and support people no one cared about, and it cost him his life. But here’s the thing — God saw it all, knew it all, and always had a plan. Neither Jesus’ death nor our current pain is a surprise to God. So what does the story of Jesus mean to you? How can we honor his sacrifice? As you read, think about how God felt while Jesus was being crucified.
What does it mean to live a life like Jesus?

About this Plan
In times of loss, grief, pain, or doubt, it’s normal to have questions. If you’ve ever tried to make sense of your circumstances, wished life didn’t have to hurt so much, or wondered why God won’t fix what you’re going through, you’re not alone. In this 4-week devotional series from the Grow Curriculum, we'll look at four big questions we're sometimes afraid to ask, and what God says about them.
