Listen, we've all been there. Our parents bust in our room, angry as can be, and start going off. For some reason, we didn't hear them when they were talking to us, and now they're yelling at us for everything we did over the course of our lifetime. Granted, maybe we legitimately didn't hear them. Maybe we pretended not to hear them. The reality is, they felt pushed aside and disrespected, and now we have to fix it. How do we fix it? By slowing down, paying attention, and intentionally listening for their voice.
Daily, God is speaking to each of us. Yet, a lot of times, we don't hear God's voice. Why? Well, for starters, we're swamped and don't slow down very well. Another reason? Sometimes we don't know what to listen for and . . . it's scary. What if God tells us something we don't want to hear? Samuel, a preteen, was completely confused when God called out to him. It was late at night when it happened, and it completely caught him off guard. All he knew to do was make himself available.
When can you tell that God is speaking to you?

About this Plan
Jesus had a lot to say about love, but not everyone loved him. Instead, Jesus’ opponents hated him, attacked him, and saw him as extreme — a radical. And they had a point! The things Jesus taught about loving God and others challenged the status quo. In this 4-week devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we'll look at four ways Jesus invites us to love others according to his revolutionary example.
