Do you know what are the strongest creatures on earth? Well, elephants can rip trees out of the ground and lift logs (with their noses!). But that is really nothing. People can rarely lift more than their own weight, overhead. But think of the bug world. Do you know that ants can hoist 5,000 times their own weight? Yikes! That’s like you carrying a city bus over your head! Okay, so ants are pretty incredible, but all of that is really nothing….

Our God moves continents—no, planets—no, galaxies! There is no reason to doubt His power.

Yep, our God is something else! And when He walked this earth as Jesus, He did more amazing things than anyone had ever seen before or since. You know, he did stuff like walk on water, bust up demons, and make disabilities disappear in a second. But then look at what Jesus says…

What I’m about to tell you is true. Anyone who believes in me will do the works I have been doing. In fact, they will do even greater things. That’s because I am going to the Father. And I will do anything you ask in my name. Then the Father will receive glory from the Son.

Look

Whoa! If you have faith in Jesus, what kind of things does He say you will do? Greater things? You’ve gotta be kidding right?

But at another time Jesus said that if you have faith that’s even just the size of a tiny seed, you can command a mountain to move, and it will move! Really? A mountain? Well, that’s what Jesus said. 

He also said, “Nothing will be impossible for you” (Matthew 17:20).

How big is your faith? The size of a seed? The size of a grain of sand? Is it big enough to see at all? Well, you want your faith to grow!

Your faith is like a muscle. How do muscles get bigger? You exercise them. Faith is just like that. First, you start out small, maybe moving spiritual pebbles. Then, you get to where your faith can handle moving spiritual boulders. And then, someday, your faith can take on whole mountains!

The bottom line, though, is that it’s not really how big your faith is that matters, it’s how big your God is. If you just get a tiny, little grasp on how awesome God is, then big challenges become small challenges.
