I Have Questions - Why Is Money So Complicated?

DAY 4 OF 7

When was the last time you tried to do two things at one time? Maybe you FaceTimed a friend at the same time you did your homework. Or you tried to finish a reading project while you watched YouTube vids. As much as we love to multitask, it sometimes distracts us from focusing on the most important thing. Our loyalty and attention seem to bounce back and forth between one and the other. This is also the case when we focus too much on money. Sometimes we get obsessed with it. We focus all of our attention on what we want or don’t have. And sometimes that can pull our attention from things that are more important. Money has the potential to become the central focus of our attention in a bad way. God loves us so much, and He wants to be the central focus of our attention.

This week, pay attention to how you feel about God and how you feel about material possessions. Which do you see as most important?

About this Plan

I Have Questions - Why Is Money So Complicated?

One thing is for sure; our feelings about money can get complicated. We need money because money matters, which means our attitude about money matters, too. These devotionals will help us check our perspectives on what’s necessary, what’s temporary, and what’s eternal. Remember: there are some things money can’t buy; or in other words you can own money, or money can own you.
