Fervent: Fight Fear With Faith Sample
Have you been feeling like God’s asleep while you’re struggling to survive during this time? The disciples actually experienced it! They saw Jesus sleeping while the “boat was covered with the waves”. Not very comforting or reassuring. Yet, the Lord’s response was very simple. He addressed the root of the problem – their fear which was an outcome of their “little faith”. Further examination of this phrase explains that Jesus was not reprimanding them for outright unbelief or distrust but rather it was a tender rebuke—as a parent—and describes a faith that lacks confidence or trusts too little. It is a good reminder to us today, we who are struggling to not let life overwhelm and drown us. Let us not lack confidence in our Father. Let us not trust too little in our Saviour. And let us not limit the Holy One of Israel.
Pray for:
• The Church to be filled with a supernatural faith.
• The spirit of fear to be cast out and peace to reign in our hearts and minds instead.
• The gift of faith to increase in each of us.
