Fervent: Fight Fear With Faith Sample
During these days of government-mandated “shelter in place” orders, lockdowns, curfews, closures, and cancellations, we are all finding ourselves spending a lot of time with our families. The family was the first unit God created and it is an integral piece of our society. Having to live in enforced closeness could either be a time of wonderful family bonding and memories or a time of stress and tension. Parents are trying to work from home and their new “co-workers” are trying to do schoolwork. Small spaces can give way to cabin fever. Remember that our families are under attack; let us be vigilant against the temptation of the enemy to give in to irritation, annoyance, bitterness, and anger. Our God is for us and we can trust that He will work even this out for good.
Pray:
• For families around the world to turn to the Lord.
• For families to be strengthened. That they grow in love for God, His Word, and one another during this time. Pray for godly patience, grace, and peace with each member of our families.
• Over the names of your family members as well as your friends’ and neighbors’ families.
