Sometimes, when all we see and hear is more bad news, it’s hard to believe that God can move in a miraculous way. Sometimes, we’ve shouldered heartache and trouble for so long that we forget how to hope. Yet, our God is merciful and He remains faithful even when we are faithless. Today, whatever the situation may seem like, remember El Shaddai is far greater and more powerful. Let us not lose heart while we pray. Let us not sink in “anguish of spirit” or discouragement. Let us look with the eyes of faith. Let us remember that the God who heard the groans and had compassion, is the same who hears our cries. He will rescue and redeem. He is in control. And He will deliver. So let us turn our eyes upon Jesus and fix our gaze on Him.
Pray:
• Against the spirit of discouragement and hopelessness that binds us from praying fervently and believing and trusting.
• Against the spirit of faithlessness.
• For a renewed knowledge of God’s power and might.
