Fervent: Fight Fear With Faith

DAY 33 OF 90

Sometimes we tend to forget who we are in Christ. We think we have to hold everything together – perhaps for our families. Or that we need to make sense of this situation personally, spiritually, emotionally, etc. Or that we should just grit our teeth and pray for this to be over. But there is another response we may have not taken as seriously until now, perhaps. Let’s do the math, if Jesus possesses “all” authority in heaven and earth and He is in you and me, doesn’t that mean we wield a far greater authority over this situation? I’m not saying we begin praying selfish prayers, but rather, let us align our prayers with those of His Spirit. Let us pray boldly and fearlessly – binding the disease that is spreading and the fear it is leaving in its wake, breaking the strongholds of lies and deception, praying repentance on behalf of our land, seeking God’s mercy in the face of an uncertain future, praising in the midst of the storm, willing to face suffering for the sake of our Lord, willing to die to ourselves that Christ may be glorified, because He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world. It is time we took our rightful place in Christ and engaged with the enemy head to head. Remember whose you are.

Pray that:

• The Church will take its rightful place in Christ and leave the enemy trembling.

• The Spirit will revive and strengthen us, giving us the words of authority to speak when we pray.

• The Lord’s deliverance and power will be manifested in different ways that we cannot even begin to imagine.
