Walk Through The Bible 365 - MaySample
Spiritual Father
Paul was the founder of the Corinthian church and had a special relationship with the church as its father. Their initial understanding of what it was to walk with Christ came from him. So also for us, we have spiritual fathers in our lives, those through whom we have received spiritual truths and hence have grown in Christ.
Perhaps for some of us, the time has come for us to be spiritual fathers to others, to mentor and lead them to a closer walk with Christ. And for some of us who already are spiritual fathers, perhaps we need to again catch a vision of the importance of this role and really give our very best in spiritually helping and guiding others.
Prayer: Lord God, we thank you for our spiritual fathers who have guided and counselled us. And now Lord, let us in turn be fathers to many, guiding and directing those who are still young in Christ. And let us do this fully knowing the privilege of being a spiritual father to others. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

How do we feed ourselves with the Word of God? By reading through the Bible. But how do we grasp all the Bible has to offer in an easy and enjoyable way? This reading plan spans one year with daily bite-sized chunks of devotions and scripture to help you stay focused, at a comfortable pace and without overwhelming yourself. As you begin your walk through the Bible, you'll start to hear, read, study, memorize, meditate, and apply God's word in your life.
