Listen
Even if it takes a long time, God might, one day, open the door for you to talk to the person with whom you had a conflict. Should you say everything you have wanted to tell them for many months or years? Should everything you have been holding in, come out now?
Here is an idea to consider; maybe you should just listen.
- “Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry.” (James 1:19)
- “Anyone who answers without listening is foolish and confused.” (Prov 18:13)
- “Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you.” (Matthew 7:12)
Raise your hand if you wish that someone would just sit, let you talk, share your feelings and your thoughts for a whole hour.
Me! Me Me!
Wouldn’t that be wonderful?
Response:
Take a notebook and write down notes as you listen to another person tell you how they feel. Take it home and pray about what they said. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you what parts He wants you to learn and what parts do not apply to you.
