Thank Him for Every Victory

I am not the same girl.

I have walked through a series of relationship puzzles in the past few years. It felt like a midlife crisis. It felt like God performed a spiritual heart surgery on me. Now, it also feels like a transformation, like I am coming out of a cocoon as a butterfly.

I am not that girl at the emergency room desperately sick, due to the loss of relationships. I am not that girl lying on the floor of my bedroom, my eyes closed, while the room spun around and around, due to a panic attack. I am not that girl, so afraid of being misunderstood that she freezes in conflict and cannot speak to defend herself.

God, You have carried me all the way.  

You have been with me every step of my journey.

You have transformed me from the inside out.  

You have taught me how to fight my battles.  

Other times You told me to stand still, while You fought for me.

I remember You.  

I would die without You.
