Life After LifeSample
When you think of a hero, what do you picture? Maybe you think of someone really strong or a person who rescues people who need help.
When Jesus came to earth, the people around him were hoping that he would be a strong hero who would save the people from the harsh leaders of their country that weren’t treating them fairly. They thought he would come in with an army and bring justice to everyone.
But, Jesus had a different plan. He told his followers that he came to do two things: seek and save. He didn’t come to bring power or create a military. He came to the earth to seek those who were lost in their sin and to save them.
Jesus saved us from our sins by taking our punishment for us. Jesus died on a cross and took all of our sins for us but he didn’t stay dead! Three days after Jesus died, he rose again from the dead. He beat death and sin once and for all, giving us a way to be forgiven from our sins and giving us a chance to spend eternity in relationship with God once again.
We don’t have to be punished for our sins because of what Jesus did.
Challenge: Today, we challenge you to take time thanking God for sending Jesus to take our punishment. Spend a few minutes right now talking to God by writing a letter or song or singing to him. Thank him for loving us enough that Jesus sacrificed himself so that we wouldn’t have to take the punishment for our sin.

About this Plan
This life is not the end. After we die, all of us face eternity. We will either spend eternity with God, in Heaven or, we will spend eternity separated from God, in Hell. Join us over the next 7 days as we discuss the truth about Heaven and Hell and how we can choose life!
