Game Changer (Week 5)Sample

Day One 

During this series we are going to journey through ‘Everything's A Gift’. We want to journey each day together and look at how this DNA helps us to live a life being thankful for God, ourselves and all those around us.  When we live like this joy grows in us and helps us have a happy heart, even in the toughest of times. 

Everything’s a Gift - We always celebrate and practice thankfulness!  We choose to focus on how great God is, are thankful for everything in our lives, and for the people around us.

Read The Lame Man in any Children's Bible or in Acts 3:1-10 (ICB)

Peter and John were going to the temple, they saw a man who could not walk, he had not been able to walk his whole life!  

The man was begging for money. 

ASK:

Some people are born unable to use some parts of their bodies. 

Peter and John had no money but they did have something that they could give the man. 

Look at the story again and see what it was that Peter and John gave to the man who was begging. 

God wants us to always try to help people. Peter and John stopped to help the man. 

Is there someone you can help today?  Remember to ask your grownup about how you can do this. 

REMEMBER:

Psalm 9:1 

I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart;  I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.

SAY:

My God is good, 

He is awesome and great.

He helps me be strong,

Even when I’m afraid. 

I will say thank you,

For all He has done.

For me and my people, 

He loves everyone.
