90 Days to Wholeness: A Porn Addiction Recovery Devotional for WomenSample
Why is it that confessing to others seems so much harder than confessing to God? Perhaps confessing to God feels like pretending sometimes–almost as if confessing to God isn’t real. However, confessing to God and not to others is also a form of deception. Not only are you not being honest with those around you, you’re likely creating lies to cover your tracks.
When we confess to God and not to others, we cheapen God’s grace. Your sins are of no surprise to God. When God talks about healing through confession, He is talking about healing from having to be our own savior. That is why Christ died. We cannot save ourselves. Pure and simple. And I think you’ve seen how true that is.
Think of all of the women you have in your life. Friends, family, church members, co-workers, etc. Can you think of instances where you have been deceiving them?
