Little Foxes: Charisma Is Easy - Character Must Be Cultivated.Sample
There are little foxes scratching at the gates of our lives. They are trying to dig under the fence, and find any little opening in your heart to get in. They are there right now and the moment they find little exceptions, they have an entry point to destroy things.
Remember, it’s often not the mega-threats from outside – wars, recessions, global uncertainty. It’s the little compromises that we allow into our INNER WORLD.
In a world that is obsessed with external appearance and image management, know this – God is obsessed with inner character formation.
God is telling us through scripture it is the little things in our lives that we have to deal with.
I have seen people build business empires, world-impacting ministries, and great wealth – but little foxes were allowed into their inner world and those little foxes brought everything down.
Examples of little foxes:
· Cheating.
· Little lies.
· Not dealing with sin issues.
· Seeds in our thought life.
· Ungodly attitudes.
· Heart issues.
Character is a heart issue. In other words, character is the core of your life. It is tested in little things but revealed in big things. Just like the old saying – big doors swing on small hinges.
Have you heard this quote?
“Sow a thought, you reap an act,
Sow an act, you reap a habit,
Sow a habit, you reap a character,
Sow a character, you reap a destiny”.
I think one thing this quote articulates is that big outcomes start as small, inner seeds.
Big idea:
It’s time to make a life decision to allow the grace of God to do a complete work in your heart.
Charisma is easy. Character must be cultivated. When you cultivate character, you get the following benefits:
- You will build a stronger family.
- You will go further in the long run, in business.
- You will grow higher than others when you build a deep foundation.
Today’s Crucial Question:
Will you commit to the journey rebuilding the fence around your heart?
