Walking With God

DAY 4 OF 5

Walking with God will not always be easy.

We will soon face one of the most difficult disciplines: “Consistency.” The only way for friends to become best friends is through consistency, which often involves communicating daily. Many times, we become frustrated and discouraged by moments in our walks with God where we feel absolutely nothing. Then, as our discouragement grows, we have despairing moments where we want to give up. However, in that exact moment when we feel nothing and only see darkness and insecurity, we can look down and we find ourselves walking on water. How are we walking on water? Just as Peter did it by the power of Christ, so do we. We experience Him catching us when we fall in our lowest moments, just like He caught Peter.

All of this glorifies God in more ways than we can imagine. We just need to consistently remember that and cry out to Him in those dark moments. Remember that it took Noah almost 100 years to complete the largest ark on earth. I can't imagine what thoughts were running through Noah's mind 60 years after he began construction of the ark when there were still no signs of rain and hundreds of people mocked him. Despite everything, Noah stayed consistent and believed in God's word. Today, I encourage you to do the same, and live a life of daily consistency with God.

About this Plan

Walking With God

One of the biggest challenges we all face is how to seek God and how to draw closer to Him. At first this may seem frustrating to us, but walking with God is one of the most beautiful experiences there is. The best thing is that we can all have that privilege.
