Dealing With FeelingSample
When I’m glad, I’ll praise God out loud.
David shared all of his feelings with God—the bad and the good. When David was glad about God's presence returning to his city, he didn't just smile or feel glad on the inside, he led the whole town in a dance party in the streets. When we feel glad, we should remember all that God has done. Then, instead of keeping our glad feelings inside, we can rejoice like David did!
Talk It Over: When you’re glad, what can you do to lead others to praise God?

About this Plan
What do I do when I feel mad, sad, bad, or glad? God made us with emotions. The Bible shows us God has emotions, too. Emotions aren’t bad, but they can often lead us to make sinful, selfish choices. Since emotions are common ground we share with God, they're a way we can get closer to Him and learn more about Him. This family plan with supporting videos can help kids learn what the Bible has to say about dealing with our feelings.
