Headed for HeavenSample
Rejoice Right Now!
No matter how good you think heaven is, it is better. And you are a citizen there! Philippians 3:20–21 says, “Our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.”
As soon as you became born-again, you became a brand new creature (2 Corinthians 5:17) and subsequently a foreigner on this earth. When you chose Jesus—the way to heaven (John 14:6)—you became a citizen of heaven. And when you get there, you’ll have a new and glorious body just as He does (1 Corinthians 15:42–53).
Jesus promised that He would prepare a place for you there in heaven (John 14:2). When you arrive, you’ll see Him not in a picture, not from far away, but face to face. You’ll walk with Him on streets that are pure gold (Revelation 21:21)—not just paved with gold but made of gold!
Revelation 21 describes heaven in great detail. It says, “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away” (Revelation 21:4). I encourage you to read the entire chapter for yourself.
Heaven is such good news. You can rejoice right now, because you’re headed somewhere great. Yes, hard things may have happened to you on this earth, and you may have questions, but keep everything in perspective. Life is just a blip on the screen of eternity. When Jesus is your Savior, in the end, you win.

About this Plan
In today’s world, it’s vital to remember where we’re ultimately going to end up, so we can be a shining light and unafraid. If you’re born again, you’re headed for heaven when you leave this earth! So keep your eyes on the prize and keep your joy. It’s time to live in God’s peace and boldly tell others how they, too, can make heaven their eternal home.
