Never Alone

DAY 6 OF 7

Day 6: Never Let Me Down

“You won’t let me down, you won’t let me go. All I need is you.”

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. - Psalm 23:1 - 4

Coronavirus has proved that this world may take it all, yet we are safe in the palms of the Chief Shepherd - never to be snatched by anything that may try.

The Lord is our support. He has given his blood and his words to infuse us and restore us back to the original image with which he moulded us in the garden.

The Lord is our protection and though we can be attacked by financial hardship, disease, strained relationships and even death, they will not ever be our ultimate undoing because he has secured our eternal destiny. He truly has prepared a table in a house with many rooms where goodness and mercy have not only followed me but will continue to pave the way through his kingdom forever.

How could we stay silent? We have tasted and seen that the Lord is good. We know, albeit in part, what it means to know that God is the one who made the heavens and the earth. We have felt his warm embrace, seen and tasted his mercy and accept, with tears in our eyes as he bleeds on Calvary, his scandalous grace.

Therefore, we put up our hands and bless the Lord, offering our worship not because we have to, but because our tears and affection are the only things we have to say thank you.
