The 8 Blessed Steps to Start a New Life Sample

Grow Continuously in the New Life and Become Kingdom Builder

The true beginning of your new life in Christ starts on the 8th day. As you receive Christ as your new Lord and Savior, you start a new life by growing in his grace and becoming part of the kingdom builders. This is very important. In other words, you start the new life by continuously growing. The problem many believers have is that, they say, “I am born-again, so what, I am okay now. I am done.” They speak like this. No, this is not enough. You need to continue to grow in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. The keyword is continuously.

How? There are stages—infancy, childhood, adolescence, adulthood, etc.— in our spiritual life too. And in spiritual life also we grow only by learning the word of God which becomes our food. Because faith comes by hearing the word of God (Romans 1:17), one must keep hearing the word of God by reading the scripture, hearing preaching and sermons, hearing from other believers, etc. 

As one does this, it means, that person is building something. The Kingdom of God is being built within him, and when it reaches adulthood in faith, it will overflow to others. It means the Kingdom is being extended. 

Although we gain new life in Christ, we do not know much about how to live the new life in Christ. We must grow in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18) by learning about him and his words and becoming like him all the more (2 Corinthians 3:18) in all things. 

Become part of the local church near you and continually grow in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. May God bless you. 

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for allowing me to walk this new path in Christ. Help me to grow continuously and help me to be someone who is part of building your Kingdom by participating in the body of Christ—that is the local church. Help me. In Jesus’s name I pray. Amen.
