Through the Bible: ExodusSample
Laws To Holy Living
These are the laws you are to set before them.
Exodus 21:1 (NIV)
The laws given to Israel in Exodus were for instructions on responsibility, restitution, reconciliation, foundation for living a godly life. It was also part of God’s revelation of His character to the Israelites, with spiritual implications that they were to be a nation set apart as His holy people.
Likewise, God expects us to apply His instructions in seeking right and fair biblical solutions to problems. Oftentimes it can be a challenge to live by. But we can be confident that asking God to teach us how to honour Him, how to love our neighbours as ourselves is a good place to start —What Would Jesus Do?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, Thank You for what was revealed is now revealed more perfectly in Christ who fulfilled the Old Testament law, so that we can be instructed by the new law written on our hearts (Jer 31:33). In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
About this Plan
As the name suggests, the book of Exodus is about the departure of the enslaved Israelites from Egypt to the land God promised to Abraham. This is an invitation for the people to leave from bondage to freedom, to be called “My People” by God. Is there anything in life that is putting you in bondage? Do you want to be free? Join us as we journey through Exodus.
