Girls, Here’s What You Never Knew..Sample
Get your first date right
We have two pieces of news - one is good, and the other not so good. First, the latter - Unlike what movies or serials show you, love is not really about feelings or butterflies in your stomach. In reality, what we see around us is mostly selfish and self-seeking lust garbed in the attire of love.
But the good news is – Someone, who Himself is love, is willing to walk alongside you and lead you in your journey to discover a reflection of His kind of love!
Nobody knows the script better than its writer. Nobody knows your story better than the one who formed and created you. And no matter what your life looks like right now, He has good plans for you.
You see, your relationship with Him is like the first button of a shirt. If you don’t put the first button right, no matter how much you try, the other buttons (your marriage, career, family) will not fit right.
So, first things first, get your first date right.
Get to know love. Get to know Jesus.
“But isn’t Jesus too close-minded, and the Bible like a rule book with dos and don’ts? Moreover, how can Jesus ever understand what I go through?”
Well, Jesus is for you; He is in your team. What you go through, whether it is frustration, temptation, disappointment, or rejection - He has been through it, and He understands it all.
And no, He doesn’t like to withhold pleasure from you, and neither is He close-minded. If you think the Bible places restrictions, it is not because God wants you to be desperate and miserable, but beyond those boundaries is brokenness and scars, and He loves you so much that it pains His heart to see you hurt.
Did you know the word ‘know’ in the Bible talks of intimacy? The first time it appears is in Genesis 4:1
Adam knew Eve, his wife, and she conceived…
It is knowing someone not at a head level, but a heart, soul, and mind level.
Knowing God means walking with Him closely on a daily and consistent basis. The more you know someone, the more you can trust that person. Trust Jesus to bring His best choice for your life, and the person He brings into your life will not be perfect (neither are you!), but you will be blessed beyond measure if you wait on Him.
