Day 4: Knowing that your highest purpose is to seek God’s presence

Seek first the Kingdom of God and all other things will be added to you. – Matthew 6:33

Never underestimate the power of being quiet in His presence. The enemy will try to condemn you with guilt for taking time away from everyone to be alone with God. Time with God is non-negotiable. The more time you spend with God, the more effective you will be in everything you do. You can’t afford to lose out on those precious moments being close to Him. Everything you say and do will ultimately flow from your time alone with Him. It is here where you reload, fill your emotional tank and find direction for your day ahead. One of the most precious gifts you can give your family is being emotionally secure and healthy. 

Time spent in God’s presence will never be time wasted. In fact, it is an essential part of your day to help you function optimally as a mom. Spending time with Him will increase your joy, your strength and your productivity. The more you spend time with Him, the more He can use you to shine His light to your family and the world around you. It all starts in His presence. 

Prayer: Lord, guide me to continually seek your face and long for your presence.  Amen.
