Open the Eyes of My Heart, Lord!

Ephesians 1:18 (VOICE)

Open the eyes of their hearts, and let the light of Your truth flood in. 

Have you been a big fan of someone or a group band? You will try to find the latest news about them, you will listen to their songs or read their books, and you will even spend some money on something related to them. When you finally manage to see them physically or experience their kindness personally, you surely will be over the moon! 

When Job told God that he had heard about God, but NOW his eyes finally saw God, it did not mean Job saw God physically with his own eyes. He was referring to the moment when he had a personal encounter with God.

You may listen to the sermon every Sunday in church or Sunday school with your ears. You may read your devotion every morning with your eyes. But, how about the eyes of your heart? Have you experienced a personal meeting with God?

Let’s pray to God to open the eyes of your heart so that the true revelation about God will be revealed to you.

Prayer

Dear God, open the eyes of my heart so that I can see You clearly. I long to have a personal encounter with You. Amen.
