DAY 18 OF 19

True Love

1 John 4:8

Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

At the end of His talk, God described a strong animal called Leviathan. It was a sea-creature that lived both in the river and on the land, very large, vicious, and fierce.

God said that no one could control this creature. Leviathan’s body was covered with strong scales sealed together that not even air could get through them! Leviathan was fully protected from external harm.

This creature symbolizes God’s power and determination. God is resistant to outside influences. No matter how badly you behave towards Him, nothing will ever change His love for you. No matter how far you run away from Him, He will still love you and wait for you to come back to Him. Ultimately, God’s love remains unaffected by outside influences because God is LOVE.

It is just like when Jesus carried His cross. He was spat at, beaten, and mocked, but it did not stop Him from sacrificing Himself for us. His love is not affected by outside wickedness. True love takes action. God’s true love is greatly shown by what He has already done for you.

Prayer

Dear Jesus, thank You for Your sacrifice and true love. I am so blessed to know that Your love is unshakeable. I love you! Amen.
