Now With Natalie: UnashamedSample
Going Through Fire
Life has taught me that while there’s always the opportunity to gain wisdom and insight from adversity, it doesn’t remove the pain. And that pain may be something you’re all too familiar with.
Pulling others down seems to be part of human, fallen nature, and in this current climate, where the world is our stage, the stakes are higher than ever.
If you’ve had someone tearing you down, I’m sorry. Oftentimes, words are not enough to ease the bitter hurt and offense. But I do believe that even the messiest of trials can result in greater strength of character.
Yes, going through fire is painful. But it can leave us clinging tighter to the things that matter. Our brokenness can help us run that much quicker to the arms of our heavenly Father, in whose presence is healing from the shame, grace for the pain, and redemption for the trial.
Personal Reflection
Get your journal or a piece of paper and write about an experience in your life that was painful. Now, think of Jesus. Ask Him where He was in that moment and what He would say to you about it. Then ask Him how He sees you today. Let His words of love and purpose fill your heart and mind.

About this Plan
Culture often dictates that our worth, path, and identity are determined by our race, gender, the things we’ve done, and the things that have been done to us. Over the next 30 days, we will discover what it looks like to be bold, transparent, and confront our shame.
