Journaling GratitudeSample
Devotional: ANSWERED PRAYERS
It is common for us to call upon God when we are in need. We’ve all had moments when we’ve come in desperation or deep longing to God and placed our petitions before Him in prayer. However, when these prayers get answered, how often do we stop to thank God?
Thanksgiving isn’t an impulsive response for all of us, but we must learn to cultivate an attitude of gratitude. Today, think of all the prayers you made this year, big and small, that were answered in some form. Maybe the answers weren’t exactly what you expected, but they were answers indeed. If so, recall these moments and thank God for them!
Journaling Prompt: MAILBOX
Today’s prompt is a traditional mailbox. Bring out your art supplies. As you journal, thank God for answered prayers.

About this Plan
While preparing for the holidays at the end of each year, it is easy to forget to practice gratitude intentionally. Grab your journal, color pencils, paints, art and craft supplies, or maybe even just a pen and a paper; and begin a meaningful 24-day journey this Advent of practicing gratitude through creative journaling. You can also ask a group of friends to join your gratitude journaling journey!
