PREPARATION
We have spent this week examining our hearts, our fears, and what needs to change in order for us to take the next step, whether that is moving out of a season of tragedy or into a season of excitement. We’ve prepared for the next step, but how do we take it? Stepping out in faith is never easy. Thankfully, we serve a God who goes before us in all things. In Ephesians 2:10, Paul reminds us that God has gone before us and has prepared the way ahead. That means he knows where we’re going. He has created us for “good” works, not evil ones. Even though you may be filled with uncertainty about the future, God has already fulfilled his promises. We can trust he will bring goodness out of our steps of obedience. So, what do you need to start—or stop—doing to make your next step a reality? God is ready and willing to walk forward with you, just as we learned on day one that he was with Joshua and the Israelites. He uses all situations for our good and our growth.
Pray – God, show me my next step and give me the courage to take it. Give me ears to hear your voice. I want to obediently follow where you lead me.
Plan – One of the best ways to prepare for that is to tweak what you’re doing now. What is one thing you need to start or stop doing to make that next step a reality?
Pursue – Start (or stop) doing it! Step forward in faith and shift your focus to Jesus.

About this Plan
We find courage not in knowing what is next but in knowing WHO is going with us. This devotional is all about where to find that courage and what to do now to take your next step forward.
