Prophecy Vine's Concise Dictionary says that prophesy means “to speak God’s message under the influence of the divine spirit.” Right here, from the definition of the word “prophesy,” you can see the connection back to Genesis, in God’s creation process, where God spoke the word of divine inspiration and everything we see today came out of that spoken word; some six thousand plus years later, the principle is still the same. God instructed Ezekiel to prophesy the solution to the problem; he told him to speak to the bones, not his words, but God’s words. Therein, lies the answer to many of our problems; instead of saying what God has said concerning us, we continue to state the problem— we rehearse the problem until the problem is all we see, feel and think. The whole essence of our speaking is not only to bring those things back to life for us but in the midst of our situation changing, there is a dynamic at work that causes us to know beyond the shadow of a doubt that He alone is the God of the impossible. Your dry bones situation opens up a portal for God’s glory to shine in, and that breeds a deeper understanding of who God is on a very personal level. I am of the opinion that without “dry bones” situations many of us would never really come to know the greatness of our God. Let us look at something that might be common to us all, no matter what our backgrounds; financial issues seem to plague us all, some more than others, but I’m sure it is common to man, everywhere. Your financial problem may vary from millions or thousands of dollars in debt to just making enough to get by from month to month…with nothing left over, or even coming up short before the month is over. It matters not where you are on the scale, because to each person, this is a struggle of epic proportion. The good news is that God has said some things concerning your situation, and you need to find out what God has said about your financial standing and prosperity and start prophesying today! Prayer of Prophetic Words Father, today I prophesy that Your divine power has given me all things that pertain to life and godliness, and I thank You that life is coming to my finances and that God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory!
