Words. They Become You!Sample
Expect miracles when God asks a question
God presents a question to the prophet Ezekiel, but God is all knowing, so why would he need to ask a question? In general, I don’t think God asks questions because He doesn’t know the answer, but rather He asks questions in an attempt to get us to think and reason outside of the box of the natural—entering the realm of the kingdom, where the impossible becomes possible. He asks us questions to stretch our faith.
The prophet, Ezekiel, had a vision that was from the Lord, and in this vision he was led out into the valley of dry bones; it was a representation of the state that the people of Israel were in at the time. But God dares to ask Ezekiel “Son of man, can these bones live?” Ezekiel 37:3 (AMP) and the answer from Ezekiel were beautiful, “O Lord God, You know!” It shows the level of confidence he has in God’s abilities. I am sure Ezekiel thought to himself, this is not possible, but if God sees fit to ask this question, then there has to be a way that it can be done, and he releases his trust and faith in God for the rest of the instructions.
God may not be asking you about an army of men’s dry bones, but the bones are a representation of the things you value and cherish in life that has seemingly died on you. God caused Ezekiel to walk through the midst of the dry bones because He wanted Ezekiel to have a clear picture of the situation at hand. You see, before we can give a faith answer to God, we must first be aware of what the problem is. One thing I have also come to understand is that no matter what area of dry bones you are dealing with in your life, the principle of solving them all starts the same way- by speaking!
Prayer of Creative Words
Father, I will not run away anymore from the issues and dry bones in my life, but like Ezekiel, I stand in the valley trusting You in this process. Yes, I am a bit scared but I know that if You ask me a question, it is because you already know the answer, and I will follow the way you are leading in this valley.
