A warning might be needed for this one. I promise I’m not crazy. But to be completely transparent, and at the expense of being ridiculed, have you ever gone to the mall just to people-watch? Or at the very least havedecided to slow down a little to notice the people around you? You have? Good, I’m not the only one!
One of the many things I’ve noticed during my times at the mall is that people love “stuff”. We love and cherish material possessions, don’t we? I know I love my stuff. The error that we find ourselves in so many times is that we value stuff (created) more than God (Creator). If we’re not careful, we dwell on dreaming about the world more than God.
In this parable, the rich man had been blessed with so many things but he completely missed out on the one thing that matters most, GOD! When we die we take nothing with us to eternity(heaven) except our soul. May we be a people that gets our priorities right. It’s not about the love of money but rather the love of GOD.

About this Plan
Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness again, but will have the light of life.” In this daily Bible reading plan, Illuminate, we study the teachings of Jesus found in the Gospel of Luke chapters 12-17. In these passages of Scripture, Jesus sheds light on the kingdom of God and guides us to live our lives in light of eternity.
